Department of Vocational Studies

The Department of Vocational Studies at DUCOR TECHNICAL COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES & TECHNOLOGY provides hands-on vocational training programs in Liberia designed to prepare students for skilled trades and entrepreneurial careers.

Vocational education focuses on practical job skills that enable students to enter the workforce quickly or start their own businesses.

The purpose of these programs is to train artisans, technicians, and service professionals who contribute to local economic development and job creation.

Through workshop training and practical field experience, students gain the confidence and technical competence needed to succeed in skilled trades.

TVET vocational training is critical for reducing unemployment, promoting entrepreneurship, and strengthening Liberia’s skilled workforce.

Vocational Skills Training Programs

• Refrigeration: Learn to install, repair, and maintain refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
• Beauty or Spa (Hairdresser, Beautician, Spa Manager): Learn beauty therapy, hair styling, spa treatments, customer care, and beauty business management.
• General Construction (Carpentry, Masonry, Plumbing, Drafting): Gain practical construction skills, including carpentry work, masonry techniques, plumbing systems, and building drafting.
• Heavy Duty Driver: Develop professional driving skills, road safety knowledge, heavy vehicle operation, and basic vehicle maintenance.
